The child chooses the family it is born into

To me the revelation that it is the child who chooses its father and mother - "the family " it is born into - somehow eases the pangs of parenting.

As mothers/parents how many times have we felt like kicking ourselves for messing up something in parenting!

And why DOES the child choose a particular family...it is to fulfill his/her karmic requirements..... Interesting
